Panasonic is set to launch two groundbreaking 4K multi-purpose cameras: the AW-UB50 and AW-UB10. These box-style cameras, based on LUMIX digital interchangeable lens technology, are packed with innovative features designed to streamline workflows and unleash creativity.

The UB50 boasts a full-frame MOS sensor, while the UB10 features a Micro Four Thirds sensor. Both cameras support common IP protocols, including Panasonic’s AW control protocol and various transmission protocols like RTP, RTSP, RTMPS, SRT, and NDI® HX2.

The UB50, optimized for cinematic video production, delivers a shallower depth of field compared to the UB10. Both models incorporate real-time recognition autofocus, ensuring subjects remain sharp and in focus. Dual Native ISO and V-Log (UB50) or V-LogL (UB10) capabilities provide flexibility for diverse production needs.

These cameras simplify operations in professional broadcasting systems, making them ideal for filming, recording, and distributing video content at large-scale live events. Their compact design allows for installation in tight spaces, while gimbal compatibility enables versatile handheld shooting.

Connectivity is a key strength, with both models offering 3G-SDI OUT, HDMI Type A, LAN terminal, TC IN/OUT, GENLOCK IN, and USB Type-C input/output interfaces. The LAN terminal supports Power over Ethernet (PoE+), reducing cable clutter and simplifying setup.

The UB50 and UB10 seamlessly integrate with Panasonic’s remote camera systems, including the AK-HRP1010 remote operation panel, with future support planned for the AW-RP150GJ remote camera controller and Panasonic live switchers. Color profile compatibility with the AW-UE160 4K integrated camera ensures consistent color matching in mixed camera setups.

Panasonic has future-proofed these cameras with support for IP-based transmission standards like NDI® HX2. This enables flexible video production methods, such as streaming distribution and IP-based system integration.

The AW-UB50 and AW-UB10 are set to launch in Q1 2025 across the Middle East and Africa region, empowering production houses, corporate media teams, and educational institutions with cutting-edge technology for their video production needs.
