September 2026 is a packed month on TOD, combining new Arabic movies, returning international series and a seriously busy sporting calendar. Mobland and Outlander: Blood of My Blood return, while football fans get the Champions League, Manchester and Madrid derbies, and tennis fans can catch the conclusion of the US Open.
Mobland and more new series
Magpie Murders: Marble Hall Murders season three begins September 11, with Lesley Manville returning as Susan Ryeland for another six-episode mystery.
The bigger arrival is Mobland season two on September 19, bringing Tom Hardy and Pierce Brosnan back for ten weekly episodes.
Outlander: Blood of My Blood season two follows September 20, while eight-part crime drama American Hostage starts its weekly run on September 24.
New Arabic movies and series
Tag arrives September 3, starring Tamer Hosny and Dina El Sherbiny in an action comedy about a music teacher who unexpectedly develops superpowers. It’s a lighter spin on superhero storytelling, with considerably less multiverse homework.
El Hareefa follows September 10, telling the story of Majed, whose move from private to public school puts his football skills to good use. Maksoum lands September 17, reuniting former university bandmates whose friendship fell apart during the 1990s.
On September 24, Etneen Gherna arrives as a 15-episode drama available all at once. Asser Yassin plays a reclusive teacher whose life changes after meeting a famous actress in crisis, played by Dina El Sherbiny.
New movies on TOD
The Housemaid arrives September 20, with Sydney Sweeney playing a struggling woman who accepts a live-in job with a wealthy couple and discovers that their apparently perfect home hides some ugly secrets. Amanda Seyfried co-stars in Paul Feig’s psychological thriller.
For something lighter, Good Fortune arrives September 25. Aziz Ansari writes, directs and stars alongside Seth Rogen and Keanu Reeves, with Reeves playing an angel whose attempts to interfere in the lives of a gig worker and venture capitalist don’t exactly go according to celestial plan.
Collections and classic movies
TOD’s Fall Collection includes Little Women, Twilight, The Outrun, Memory, Friendship and several other films. Resident Evil fans also get a dedicated collection containing all six Milla Jovovich movies, Welcome to Raccoon City and animated movie Vendetta.
The Star channels add movies throughout September, including 10 Things I Hate About You, Twilight, Gifted, Flight of the Phoenix and Enemy of the State. Star World also gets Britain’s Got Talent season 19 on September 13.
What’s new for kids?
September starts with Wild Kratts season six, FAFA World season two and Teela Toola season 11 on September 1. TOD’s Back to School collection also gathers family favourites including Sofia the First, Ariel and Dora and Friends.
Disney additions include Mickey Mouse Clubhouse+ on September 9, followed by Spidey and His Amazing Friends season five and new Kiff episodes on September 22.
Premier League, LaLiga and the big derbies
Football is arguably TOD’s biggest attraction this September. Arsenal versus Chelsea arrives September 6, followed by the Manchester derby between Manchester United and Manchester City on September 13.
September 20 is particularly stacked, featuring Atlético Madrid versus Real Madrid, Marseille versus PSG, Sevilla versus Barcelona and Trabzonspor versus Galatasaray. Other fixtures across the month include Liverpool, Manchester United, Barcelona, Real Madrid, PSG and several of Europe’s other heavyweight clubs.
Champions League and international football
The UEFA Champions League returns September 8–10 with the opening matchday of its league phase. The Europa League follows on September 16–17, with the Women’s Champions League beginning September 22–23.
The UEFA Nations League then takes over from September 24. Highlights include Netherlands versus Germany, Italy versus Belgium, Türkiye versus France, England versus Spain and Spain versus Croatia.
US Open and more tennis
The US Open continues through September 13, with three main courts available in HD and Arthur Ashe Stadium presented in HDR exclusively on TOD.
Later in September, tennis fans get Davis Cup qualifiers, the Billie Jean King Cup Final and the Laver Cup. The China Open and Japan Open then begin on September 30.
Three Formula 1 weekends
Formula 1 has a busy September with three race weekends. The Italian Grand Prix runs September 4–6, followed by the Spanish Grand Prix from September 11–13 and Azerbaijan from September 24–26.
Premier Padel is also on the schedule, with Madrid P1 concluding September 6, the Paris Major running September 7–13 and Rotterdam P2 beginning September 28.
