UGREEN has added two new models to its Nexode Pro lineup: a 160W charger with a retractable cable and a 300W desktop station, both fitted with built-in smart displays. The products are available now in the United States through Amazon and the company’s official store, priced at $149.99 and $199.99 respectively.
The portable 160W unit is built around a pull-out cable that extends to 70 centimeters and locks at eight different lengths. Both the cable and one of the USB-C ports can deliver up to 140W, enough to charge two compatible laptops at once. Three USB-C ports and one USB-A port allow four devices to charge simultaneously. Inside, GaN-based circuitry handles power conversion, while a thermal system samples internal temperatures two hundred times per second and adjusts output accordingly. A small screen on the charger shows total power draw, individual port wattages, charging protocols, voltage, current, temperature, and operating mode. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity let users adjust settings or shut the unit down remotely through the UgreenConnect app, which also supports over-the-air firmware updates.

The 300W desktop model is intended as a fixed workspace hub. It offers eight ports in total, with three independent USB-C ports each capable of 140W and an additional DC output rated to 240W for specialized equipment. Its display focuses on total output, active port wattages, and connection status. Through the same companion app, users can change display themes, clock styles, and select among five power-distribution profiles. The exterior uses a soft-touch finish, and the same GaN and thermal-monitoring systems manage heat under sustained multi-device loads.

High-wattage GaN chargers with multiple ports have become common as laptops, tablets, and phones converge on USB-C power delivery. Adding a live display and app control is a newer layer that appeals mainly to users who want visibility into exactly how power is being allocated. For most people the practical gains are more modest: a retractable cable reduces the number of loose cords in a bag, and a single desktop brick can replace several wall adapters. Real-time wattage readouts and remote shutdown features add complexity and a software dependency that some will welcome and others will ignore. Thermal safeguards are now expected at this performance level rather than a differentiator. At the stated prices the two chargers sit in the mid-range for their respective power classes, competing on convenience features more than raw output or cost.
Whether the smart displays prove useful day to day or remain a novelty will depend on how often owners actually glance at the numbers. For travelers and desk setups that already juggle several high-power devices, the combination of capacity, cable management, and monitoring offers a clearer picture of what the charger is doing than a silent brick ever could.
