Logitech Signature Comfort Plus brings practical desk ergonomics

Logitech has introduced its Signature Comfort Plus lineup, a collection of mice and keyboards aimed at improving ergonomics during extended periods at the desk. Announced on 3 June 2026, the range includes the M850 L mouse with a cushioned palm support, the MK880 combo pairing a keyboard with the same mouse, and the more basic M840 L mouse without the palm cushion. These products target the reality of modern hybrid work, where long hours blur the lines between professional tasks and personal use, often leading to fatigue in hands and wrists.

The design prioritises practical comfort over flashy innovation. The M850 L features a sculpted right-handed shape with rubber side grips and a padded palm area, intended to ease pressure during prolonged sessions. The accompanying keyboard offers a dual-foam palm rest, deep cushioned keys, and adjustable tilt angles at 0, 4, or 8 degrees to promote a more natural wrist position. Both input devices emphasise quiet operation through silent mouse clicks and subdued typing noise, which could prove useful in shared offices or home environments where distractions matter. Multi-device connectivity allows switching between up to three gadgets via Easy-Switch, with broad compatibility across Windows, macOS, and ChromeOS systems.

Customisation comes through Logitech’s Logi Options+ software, enabling shortcut assignments, automated actions, and quick access to AI tools such as Copilot or ChatGPT. Battery life is rated at up to two years for the mice and three years for the keyboard, reducing maintenance needs, though actual duration will depend heavily on usage patterns and settings. From a sustainability perspective, the products incorporate between 49 and 77 percent post-consumer recycled plastic depending on colour, ship in FSC-certified packaging, and aim for longer product lifecycles. These steps align with wider industry efforts but represent incremental rather than transformative progress in reducing electronics waste.

While the lineup addresses genuine pain points like repetitive strain and noisy peripherals, it enters a crowded market where similar ergonomic features already appear in offerings from competitors. The palm cushion is a notable addition for Logitech, yet its real-world benefits will vary by individual hand size, posture, and existing workspace setup. Users sensitive to materials or preferring minimal designs might find the added padding less appealing after initial use. Pricing starts at $39.99 for the M840 L mouse, $49.99 for the cushioned M850 L, and $99.99 for the full MK880 combo, positioning the products as mid-range options accessible to many office workers and remote professionals.

Overall, the Signature Comfort Plus series offers thoughtful refinements for those spending full days at their desks, focusing on subtle improvements rather than overhauling the input device experience. Availability begins in June 2026 through Logitech’s website and authorised retailers in various colours. Prospective buyers should consider testing the products in their specific environments, as comfort remains highly personal despite manufacturer claims.
