Cameron Diaz is back! After stepping away from Hollywood in 2018, the beloved actress is returning to the screen in Netflix’s new action-comedy, “Back in Action.” The film, co-starring Jamie Foxx, sees Diaz playing a former CIA operative pulled back into the world of espionage.

Foxx, who plays Diaz’s partner in the film, was instrumental in convincing her to come out of retirement. He reportedly persuaded her by emphasizing the fun and camaraderie they would share on set.

“Back in Action” presents a lighthearted take on the spy genre. Diaz and Foxx play a seemingly ordinary couple who are secretly highly trained former agents. When their past catches up to them, they’re forced to abandon their quiet family life and embark on a dangerous mission.

The film promises to be a fun, action-packed romp, with Diaz’s return adding a nostalgic touch for many viewers. “Back in Action” premieres on Netflix on January 17th.
