It took Nike one tweet to take over the internet yesterday.
What was this about? the self-lacing sneakers Nike featured in Back to the Future II of course. October 21, 2015 was the date that Doc, Marty, and Jennifer traveled to in 1989’s Back to the Future II, and the date the world celebrated the predictions and misses of the movie.

So, Nike’s new self lacing sneakers are real. They are similar to the Air Mags version the company released back in 2011 but of course with power laces. The new Air Mags will be available in limited quantities through an auction for the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research in Spring 2016.
