Xiaomi’s Super Xiao AI: the most original AI assistant… ever?

And here we go again…

In a move that surely shocked the world, Xiaomi has unveiled its latest AI assistant, Super Xiao AI. And guess what? It’s “thoughtful and capable”! But that’s not the most groundbreaking part. The real innovation here is how much it looks like Apple’s Intelligence. Who needs original ideas when you can just, you know, “borrow” them?

From the text box (oh my god, the text box!) to the logo placement, Super Xiao AI is basically Apple’s Type to Siri feature, but with a Xiaomi logo slapped on it. And don’t even get me started on the AI Writing feature. It’s like they took Apple’s Writing Tools, photocopied it, and called it a day. Prompt-based AI writing? Yeah, Xiaomi totally thought of that first.

Of course, this isn’t the first time Xiaomi has “paid homage” to Apple’s design prowess. Remember when MIUI looked suspiciously like Apple’s Control Center? Or when the MIUI Camera app and Settings seemed to have taken a few “notes” from iOS? Good times.

It’s one thing to draw inspiration from competitors, but Xiaomi seems to have taken this concept to a whole new level. Maybe they should just rename Super Xiao AI to “iXiao” and get it over with.

But hey, let’s give credit where credit is due. Xiaomi has managed to create an AI assistant that’s so “unique,” it’s practically indistinguishable from its Apple counterpart. Now that’s what I call “thinking different.”
