Samsung resumes One UI 7 rollout after brief pause

Samsung has resumed the global rollout of its One UI 7 update after briefly hitting pause earlier this month due to reported stability issues. The latest version of the company’s Android skin is now reaching devices across the U.S., Africa, the Middle East, and several other regions, marking a restart of what had initially been a staggered and somewhat rocky release.

Users across Samsung’s support communities and Reddit forums are confirming that the stable build of One UI 7 is landing on various models, including the Galaxy S24 series and the company’s newest foldables. Owners of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6 on T-Mobile and Boost Mobile in the U.S. have reported receiving the update, and Galaxy S24 Ultra users in countries such as Egypt, Kenya, Mauritius, Pakistan, Qatar, South Africa, and Turkey are also seeing it roll out.

The renewed availability of the update follows a brief suspension, which occurred shortly after the initial launch earlier in April. Samsung halted the release after users flagged a number of bugs, though details on those issues remain vague. The resumed rollout suggests those concerns have been addressed—or at least stabilized enough for wider distribution.

One UI 7 brings a number of interface changes and usability enhancements. Notable additions include redesigned icons, a revamped camera app interface, and a newly split notification shade and quick settings menu. Users will also find expanded customization options for camera filters and performance tweaks aimed at improving overall responsiveness.

As with previous Samsung updates, rollout timing can vary based on region, carrier, and device model. Still, the current expansion suggests the company is aiming for a broad deployment in the coming days. Users with supported devices are encouraged to manually check for the update through their system settings if they haven’t received it yet.
