Lavazza Assoluta: the smart bean-to-cup machine that knows your coffee best

Lavazza has unveiled its latest innovation — the Lavazza Assoluta, a bean-to-cup coffee machine that blends Italian design with AI-driven smarts to elevate home brewing.

At first glance, the Assoluta looks a lot like Lavazza’s popular A Modo Mio pod lineup, complete with a minimalist control panel, drip tray, and warm-toned finishes. But under the hood, it’s a whole different story. This is Lavazza stepping into serious coffee territory, taking on the likes of Smeg, De’Longhi, and Breville with technology that promises a more personalized cup every time.

Smarter coffee with Bean Match tech

The star feature is Perfect Bean Match, a system that automatically adjusts the machine’s grind, temperature, and brewing profile to match each Lavazza blend. Accessible via the Piacere Lavazza app, users can tweak everything from drink size to foam style, creating a fully customized experience that adapts to personal taste.

This approach means you’re not just making a generic espresso — you’re tailoring extraction to the specific beans in your hopper, unlocking richer flavors and more nuanced aromas.

Subscription-exclusive launch

There’s a catch: the Assoluta will only be available exclusively through a Lavazza coffee subscription. Subscribers will get 50% off the machine, which is expected to retail at £699, making it a compelling bundle for those already loyal to the brand’s blends.

While Lavazza hasn’t confirmed the official release date, the company has made it clear this machine is designed to complement its curated coffee plans. It’s a move that ties hardware and beans together in a way that ensures consistency — and repeat customers.

The premium home coffee war heats up

With its blend of sleek Italian design and smart brewing technology, the Assoluta puts Lavazza firmly in the premium bean-to-cup conversation. Whether it can compete with the feature-packed machines from De’Longhi or the design-forward options from Smeg remains to be seen, but one thing’s certain: coffee lovers now have another tempting option vying for space on their kitchen counters.

Bottom line: The Lavazza Assoluta isn’t just another coffee machine — it’s Lavazza’s boldest play yet to own both your beans and your brew.
