Huawei’s Watch GT 7 Series is now on sale in the UAE, with the company once again leaning on two areas that have become central to its wearables strategy: increasingly detailed health tracking and battery life measured in weeks rather than days.
Prices start at AED 949, with the Watch GT 7 available in 41mm and 46mm sizes alongside the more premium Watch GT 7 Pro. Huawei is selling the range through its UAE stores, authorised retailers and major online platforms.
The GT 7 Pro gets the more expensive materials, including sapphire glass and a nano-tech ceramic bezel, while Huawei has introduced its EasyCross strap across the new generation. The design remains recognisably part of the GT family, prioritising a traditional watch aesthetic rather than pushing toward the miniature-computer approach taken by some smartwatch rivals.
Health tracking is receiving a bigger software focus this generation. Huawei’s TruSense system powers an updated Health Insights experience, including a Physical Readiness feature that combines information such as sleep quality, heart rate variability, activity and emotional wellbeing. The idea is to give wearers a daily indication of recovery and readiness rather than leaving them to interpret several individual measurements.

On the Watch GT 7 Pro, Huawei is also supporting research-oriented Diabetes Risk and Coronary Heart Disease Risk studies for eligible users. Those features warrant some caution: Huawei explicitly describes the resulting information as health and wellbeing insights rather than medical diagnoses, and they should not replace professional healthcare advice.
Other wellness tools include an Emotional Wellbeing Assistant and Cycle Calendar. Huawei’s Family Space feature can also share selected sleep, heart-rate and activity information between family members through the Huawei Health app.
Fitness tracking stretches across more than 110 workout modes. One of the more unusual additions is an AI-powered Padel Points app capable of recognising racket swings and recording swing speed, reflecting padel’s rapid growth as a recreational sport in the UAE and elsewhere.
Battery life remains arguably the GT 7 Series’ most practical selling point. Huawei claims up to 21 days from both the Watch GT 7 Pro and 46mm GT 7, while the smaller 41mm model can reach up to 14 days. Actual endurance will inevitably depend on enabled health monitoring, workouts and usage patterns, but even substantially below those maximum figures would leave considerably less charging anxiety than many full-featured smartwatches.
The GT 7 Series therefore looks less like a radical reinvention of Huawei’s smartwatch formula and more like an expansion of it, particularly around readiness and preventative-health insights. How useful those increasingly ambitious health features prove in everyday use will matter more than the sheer number of metrics available.
