Apple’s Vision Pro stars in Mother’s Day ad focused on family memories

Just ahead of Mother’s Day in the US, Apple has released a new ad spotlighting the Vision Pro headset’s ability to preserve family memories through spatial video. The ad, produced by Apple’s longtime creative agency TBWA\Media Arts Lab, uses a personal narrative to illustrate how the mixed-reality device fits into everyday life—particularly emotional moments.

In the short film, two parents, Sam and Khulan, capture footage of their newborn son using iPhones capable of recording spatial video. The father edits the clips into a montage, which his partner later views for the first time using the Vision Pro headset. Her reaction, central to the ad’s narrative, underscores Apple’s continued pitch that its immersive technology isn’t just for productivity or entertainment, but also for reliving personal milestones in a more vivid and emotional format.

Apple has been steadily promoting the Vision Pro’s spatial capabilities since its launch, with particular emphasis on how the device integrates into home life. This ad continues that messaging, tapping into the sentimentality surrounding Mother’s Day to showcase the headset not just as cutting-edge hardware, but as a tool for emotional connection.

The campaign arrives as Apple continues its broader effort to define practical use cases for the Vision Pro in the consumer market. While the device has impressed in terms of display fidelity and immersive media playback, its adoption is still in early stages. By framing the Vision Pro as a vessel for reliving cherished memories, Apple positions it as more than a tech novelty—something that could eventually replace traditional photo albums or home videos.

Capturing spatial photos and videos on iPhone is simple with the built-in Spatial mode in the Camera app. This short video walks you through how to find and use the feature, along with some helpful tips to get the most out of your spatial content.

You can also book a free Apple Vision Pro demo online at any Apple Store that offers it. During the demo, you’ll be able to view your own photos, videos, panoramas, and spatial captures directly through the device.
