Apple, according to Bloomberg, is reportedly venturing into the mixed reality (MR) market with two new devices. One is aimed at budget-conscious consumers, while the other is a high-end successor to the Apple Vision Pro.
The Rumored “Apple Vision Lite”
The more affordable option, codenamed N107 (or potentially dubbed Apple Vision Lite), is expected to be lighter and more affordable than the current Apple Vision Pro. This is reportedly achieved by offloading processing power to an iPhone or Mac, eliminating the need for bulky internal components. The estimated price range is $1,500 to $2,000, which is still quite high but a significant reduction compared to the Vision Pro.
The Next-Generation Vision Pro
For those seeking a more powerful experience, Apple is also developing a next-generation version of the Vision Pro,codenamed N109. This standalone headset is rumored to feature faster processors, likely using the latest M-series chips,and improved external cameras for enhanced AR experiences.
