Apple Creator Studio adds OpenAI-powered assistants to Logic Pro and Keynote

Apple is rolling out a major update to Apple Creator Studio, its subscription bundle of creative and productivity apps for Mac, iPad and iPhone. The update adds new AI tools, expanded video and music content, and automation features. It arrives on the App Store in November as a free update for existing subscribers.

Final Cut Pro for Mac gets the largest set of changes. MotionVFX content is now built into the app, giving editors thousands of templates, titles, transitions and graphics, plus tools for rotoscoping, tracking and color grading. Apple’s curated Content Hub, which now includes stock video alongside photos and backgrounds, is also available directly inside the editor. Images on the timeline can be opened in Pixelmator Pro and saved back to the project automatically. Users can generate images from text descriptions within a project. Other additions include more keyframe easing options, the ability to place clips freely off the primary storyline, and 23 new transcription languages.

Motion gains MotionVFX plug-ins for color grading and 3D camera tracking, along with a new Displacement filter. Compressor adds support for encoding Cinematic mode video shot on iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Duo.

Pixelmator Pro introduces Generate Fill, which lets users select or circle part of an image and describe the change they want in plain language. Apple says the tool matches the surrounding lighting, perspective and texture, and upscales the generated content using Super Resolution.

Logic Pro receives a Liquid Glass redesign. The Mac version also gets an intelligent assistant in beta, built on a combination of Apple’s own models and OpenAI technology. It can help start songs, set up vocal tracks and navigate production tasks. A redesigned Browser on Mac brings loops, instruments and patches into one place, including a Splice library, with on-device analysis that tags sounds automatically. Stem Splitter can now isolate drum parts, and a new Producer Pack from salsa producer Sergio George adds Latin jazz and salsa loops.

Keynote, Pages and Numbers also get an assistant in beta, again built on Apple models and OpenAI. Both assistants are limited to US English for now. These apps also add Model Context Protocol support on macOS 27, allowing external AI agents to read and edit documents. Keynote adds a new open, JSON-based file format called .keyx. Freeform gets text styles and background colors, with Pixelmator Pro integration and shape generation from text due in December.

In the UAE, Apple Creator Studio costs AED 49.99 per month or AED 499 per year. Education pricing is AED 9.99 per month or AED 99 per year. New subscribers get a one-month free trial, and buyers of a new Mac or qualifying iPad receive three months free. Standalone versions remain available, including Final Cut Pro at AED 1,199.99 and Logic Pro at AED 799.99.
