Twitter announces new partnerships to syndicate Promoted Tweets on and off its platform

Twitter yesterday evening announced their first partnerships to syndicate Promoted Tweets outside of Twitter with FlipBoard and Yahoo! JAPAN

These new partnerships will allow advertisers to expand to other platforms and maximise exposure. For now, Promoters will have to inform twitter wether they’d like to push their Promoted Tweets to FlipBoard and Yahoo! Japan, but the process will eventually be automated and will cover new partnerships.

Twitter gave an example about Nissan running a Promoted Tweet campaign on Twitter and showed how the same Promoted Tweet can reach similar audiences on mobile applications like Flipboard.

Example of a what a Nissan Promoted Tweet could look like rendered in the Flipboard app.

Best of all, because Flipboard already integrates organic Tweets into the app, the Promoted Tweet will have the same look and feel that is native to the Flipboard experience, the blog post stated.
