According to new reports, Google is said to be testing out a new feature to allow users to chat with businesses live via the search results.
The chat option will be added to the search results cards where Google typically lists the business details of a company which includes an address, phone number, website, opening hours, and other details. clicking the chat icon, users will be directly taken to a Hangout chat window with the particular business. The chat option also indicates an estimated time for response by the business.
Google has confirmed to TechCrunch that the new option was in testing, without giving any indication on a launch date.
