Facebook has been hard at work in further enhancing its Messenger app – from plugins to colourful conversations and a complete overhaul of emojis (and possible end-to-end encryption), the company is adamant on making Messenger the go-to communications app for its 900 million users.
Now, Facebook is planning to give the home tab on Messenger a complete overhaul.
In the new home screen, the recent messages will sit at the top, followed by a section for favourite contacts for quick access. Below those, you’ll see reminders for birthdays – you know, that one time you send someone a message in a year – and then a list of everyone else who is online, for your stalking pleasure.
The update, like all of Facebook’s updates, will be rolling out gradually, so brace yourself for this change sometime soon.
