Ticketmaster, already under scrutiny for antitrust issues, is now dealing with a potential data breach affecting hundreds of millions of customers. The hacker group ShinyHunters claims to have stolen 1.3 terabytes of sensitive user data, including names, addresses, payment information, and order history.

While Ticketmaster has yet to confirm the breach, Australia’s Home Affairs Department acknowledges a cyber incident impacting Ticketmaster customers. The hackers are attempting to sell the stolen data for $500,000 on a hacking forum.

This isn’t Ticketmaster’s first encounter with cyberattacks or data breaches. In the past, the company has been targeted by malicious actors and has also been involved in accessing competitors’ data.

The breach raises concerns about the security of customer information and the potential for misuse of sensitive data.Ticketmaster’s response and the extent of the damage remain to be seen as the investigation unfolds.
