BenQ has launched the GV50, a compact ceiling projector built to bring big-screen entertainment directly to the comfort of your bed. Designed with flexible angles and features tailored for small spaces, the GV50 targets users who want a convenient way to watch movies or shows projected onto their bedroom ceiling.

The GV50 offers vertical projection up to 135 degrees and full 360-degree horizontal rotation, allowing users to project their favorite content without having to rearrange furniture or mount hardware. With built-in automatic screen correction and tilt adjustment, it’s easy to align the image properly, even on sloped ceilings or angled walls.

At the core of the GV50 is a Full HD 1080p laser projection system delivering up to 120 inches of screen size from a compact footprint, ideal for nightstands or side tables. It emits 500 ANSI lumens of brightness, making it suitable for dimly lit bedrooms, while HDR and HLG support offer improved contrast and detail. The projector also includes a Night Shift mode to reduce eye strain during nighttime use and a sleep timer for convenience.

Audio is handled by an integrated 2.1-channel speaker system, delivering 18 watts of directional sound aimed downward to match bed height. There’s also a Bluetooth audio mode offering over four hours of playback on a full battery charge.

The GV50 runs on Google TV, providing access to a wide range of streaming services including licensed Netflix, YouTube, and more. Casual gamers will appreciate its 22.4ms input lag, while USB-C connectivity with power delivery supports smartphones, tablets, and even the Nintendo Switch.

With a focus on portability, ceiling projection, and comfort-focused features, the GV50 is aimed at users seeking an immersive but relaxed home entertainment experience—especially those looking to replace traditional TVs with a more space-efficient setup.
