SharkNinja’s newest robot vacuum and mop lifts itself to protect your carpets

SharkNinja has just released its latest innovation in home cleaning: a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop designed to navigate your home seamlessly. With its ability to lift itself over rugs, high-pile carpets, and obstacles, the PowerDetect NeverTouch Pro promises to keep your floors spotless without spreading messes or getting stuck.

This clever robot vacuum boasts a lift of up to 20mm, ensuring the mop stays clear of carpets and rugs. SharkNinja claims this is the only robot vacuum on the market designed to lift its entire body, potentially reducing cleaning interruptions and frustrations.

The company also emphasizes the ‘NeverStuck’ technology, suggesting users can expect a hassle-free cleaning experience. The accompanying Pro Base auto-empty station further enhances the hands-off approach, allowing for up to 30 days of cleaning without needing to touch the robot.

The Pro Base also includes a cleaning solution tank that needs refilling approximately once a month. The station collects dirt for up to 45 days, eliminating the need for disposable bags.

Using lidar for mapping and navigation, the NeverTouch Pro intelligently navigates your home. SharkNinja claims the robot can even sense dirt and increase suction power accordingly. An EdgeDetect feature allows the mop to clean close to baseboards, and a blast of air helps remove debris from corners and edges.

The robot also detects stains on hard floors and provides additional cleaning cycles in those areas. When mopping, it will lift itself over rugs and return later to vacuum them after dropping off the mop at the station.

In addition to the robot vacuum, SharkNinja has also launched a new stick vacuum with auto-empty capabilities. The PowerDetect Clean and Empty Cordless Vacuum increases suction when it encounters dirt or corners and edges.

Its unique “DuoClean Detect” nozzle picks up dirt and debris in both directions, minimizing hair tangles. The vacuum also features an articulating stick for easy cleaning under furniture and a self-standing design for convenient storage.

Both the PowerDetect NeverTouch Pro ($999.99) and the Cordless Vacuum ($499.99) are available now on sharkclean.com. Later this fall, they will be available at major retailers.

While SharkNinja’s new products may not win any design awards, they focus on providing practical solutions for everyday cleaning challenges. With features like self-lifting, auto-emptying, and intelligent dirt detection, these new vacuums could offer a convenient way to maintain a clean home.
