Samsung officially confirms: Galaxy AI headed to older phones soon

Hold onto your S Pens, Galaxy fans! While the cutting-edge AI features of the new S24 series aren’t arriving en masse to older devices, Redditor FragmentedChicken unearthed a list on Samsung UK’s website confirming four AI tools heading to select older models.

Get ready to Circle to Search: Simply draw around anything on your screen and let Google work its magic. Craving instant language understanding? Live Translate joins the party, providing real-time translation during phone calls. Feeling overwhelmed by notes? Note Assist comes to the rescue, offering AI summaries and auto-formatting. Finally, unleash your inner artist with Photo Assist, bringing some of the S24’s Generative Editing features to your Gallery app.

Remember, these upgrades are slated for the Galaxy S23 series, S23 FE, Z Fold 5 and Flip 5, and Tab S9 series within the first half of 2024, likely bundled with the One UI 6.1 update.
