RedMagic 10 Air debuts with full-screen display and no selfie camera cutout

A new contender has entered the mobile gaming arena. Officially unveiled on April 9, the RedMagic 10 Air aims to grab attention with a design few phones can match in 2025: a completely uninterrupted 6.8-inch display. Thanks to an under-display front camera, this gaming phone eliminates the common punch hole or notch found on most modern smartphones, offering a true full-screen experience.

The display, co-developed by RedMagic and BOE over five years, ensures pixel consistency even in the area above the hidden selfie camera. This allows the entire panel to deliver a uniform visual experience without any noticeable drop in quality—ideal for gaming, video playback, or just users who prefer clean aesthetics without black dots or cutouts interrupting their view.

Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, the RedMagic 10 Air is expected to deliver flagship-level gaming performance. The device will ship with a 6.8-inch AMOLED panel, a 16MP under-display front camera, and a 50MP dual rear camera system. Backed by a 6,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging, it’s designed to keep up with extended sessions, whether for gaming or streaming.

Three color variants are expected at launch: Shadow Black, Frost White, and Flame Orange. The latter includes a partially transparent back panel revealing some of the device’s internal hardware. While the design bears resemblance to other transparent smartphones, it maintains its own identity through bold color choices and sharper accents.

As a lighter and thinner variant in RedMagic’s lineup, the 10 Air still carries forward the brand’s focus on thermal management. Though not as elaborate as the Golden Saga edition, which debuted at MWC with gold and silver cooling elements and dual fans, the Air model keeps things efficient for daily gaming needs.

The phone’s official launch is set for April 16. With no visible selfie camera, a high refresh rate screen, and a large battery, the RedMagic 10 Air positions itself as a competitive option for users who want a clean display with solid performance and battery life to match.
