Razer has introduced the DeathAdder V4 Pro, the latest iteration in its longstanding DeathAdder gaming mouse lineup. Priced at approximately $170, the V4 Pro is positioned as a premium option for gamers who prioritise speed, responsiveness, and durability during extended play sessions and competitive tournaments.

The V4 Pro arrives as the first Razer mouse equipped with the company’s HyperSpeed Wireless Gen-2 technology. According to Razer, this update offers a 63% improvement in power efficiency alongside 37% lower latency compared to the previous generation, aiming to deliver smoother input response with reduced energy consumption. This translates to up to 150 hours of battery life, extending usability between charges.

Performance is further enhanced by the inclusion of Razer’s Focus Pro 45K Optical Sensor Gen-2, engineered for greater accuracy across various surfaces. The mouse supports a polling rate of up to 8000 Hz, both wired and wirelessly, catering to players who demand highly responsive tracking for fast-paced gameplay.

Another notable change is the debut of Razer’s Optical Scroll Wheel in the DeathAdder V4 Pro. The company claims this design offers increased durability and precision compared to traditional mechanical scroll wheels, addressing a common wear point for intensive users. Complementing this upgrade are Razer’s fourth-generation Optical Mouse Switches, rated to endure up to 100 million clicks, underlining the brand’s emphasis on longevity and reliability for competitive gaming hardware.

The DeathAdder V4 Pro retains the ergonomic shape familiar to fans of the series but is available in both black and white finishes for broader aesthetic preference. With these improvements, Razer is positioning the V4 Pro as a flagship option for players seeking high-end performance without compromise.

While the gaming mouse market remains crowded, the DeathAdder V4 Pro underscores Razer’s commitment to refining its established designs with incremental upgrades in technology and durability to stay competitive among esports professionals and dedicated PC gamers.
