After a series of teasers, Nothing has officially introduced the CMF Phone 2 Pro. This marks the company’s second device under its CMF sub-brand, aimed at offering affordable smartphones with distinctive designs and solid specifications.
The CMF Phone 2 Pro features a bold two-tone design, available in bright orange-red, black, and white finishes. While it retains the visible stainless steel screws from the original model, this iteration does not support rear panel swapping.

For a sub-$300 phone, the CMF Phone 2 Pro brings a promising set of features. Its camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens, and a 16MP ultra-wide unit. The company touts its TrueLens Engine 3 technology for improved Ultra XDR rendering, suggesting a focus on enhanced photography despite the budget price point.

Another notable addition is the Essential Key—a dedicated button that works with the Essential Space app to capture screenshots and organize media using AI-driven tools. While it’s a niche feature, it could prove useful for users who frequently catalog information and media on the go.
Inside, the CMF Phone 2 Pro runs on the Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset, a capable processor for this category, paired with a 5,000mAh battery expected to deliver strong daily performance. The AMOLED display features a 120Hz refresh rate and peaks at 3,000 nits of brightness, a specification rarely seen in devices at this price range. The screen’s FHD+ resolution should satisfy most users looking for a vibrant, smooth visual experience.

Coinciding with the phone’s launch, Nothing is also expanding its audio lineup with the CMF Buds 2 series. The new earbuds come in three models: the CMF Buds 2 Plus, offering Hi-Res LDAC support and customizable EQ; the standard CMF Buds 2 with Direo Opteo tuning and hybrid ANC; and the CMF Buds 2a, providing basic active noise cancellation and a 12.4mm bass-focused driver.

While the naming conventions might be a little confusing, the series is designed to complement CMF Phone users looking for affordable, wireless audio options without stretching their budgets.
