Microsoft Copilot users gain free access to advanced AI reasoning model

Microsoft has announced that all Copilot users will now have free, unlimited access to OpenAI’s o3-mini-high reasoning model. This upgrade enhances the Copilot Think Deeper feature, providing users with more in-depth and relevant responses to complex queries.

OpenAI’s o3-mini-high model offers comparable intelligence to the o1 model but with improved performance and efficiency. While ChatGPT Pro users have access to both o3-mini and o3-mini-high, Microsoft is making the o3-mini-high model available to all Copilot users at no cost.

This move aims to democratize access to powerful AI reasoning tools, making them accessible to a wider audience. Despite offering free access to advanced AI models, Copilot faces competition from ChatGPT, prompting Microsoft to explore promotional strategies within Bing to attract more users.
