LG’s new 45GX UltraGear monitor prioritizes visual clarity and immersion

LG has introduced its latest high-end gaming display, the UltraGear 45GX950A, across the Middle East, aiming to provide a more expansive and precise experience for gamers. Following recognition at CES 2025, including a ‘Best of Innovation’ award for its OLED Bendable Gaming Monitor, LG is emphasizing advanced display technology tailored for immersive gameplay.

The UltraGear 45GX features a 45-inch OLED screen with a 21:9 aspect ratio and a sharp 5K2K resolution (5,120 x 2,160), delivering more screen space and visual clarity than conventional gaming monitors. The screen’s 800R curvature is designed to match the natural field of view, enhancing peripheral vision and depth perception in-game.

This monitor leverages LG’s WOLED panel technology, providing deep blacks, high brightness, and a wide color range. These attributes are enhanced with low blue light emissions and an Anti-Glare & Low Reflection (AGLR) coating, both of which help reduce eye fatigue and maintain visibility in various lighting conditions.

The 45GX950A also offers a high pixel density of 125 PPI and uses an RGWB subpixel structure, which improves the clarity of on-screen text and benefits users who split time between gaming and productivity. A nearly borderless design on all four sides adds to the immersive feel while complementing modern desktop setups.

Functionality is further extended with Dual-Mode support, allowing users to choose from eight display configurations. For connectivity, the monitor includes DisplayPort 2.1, HDMI 2.1, and USB-C with up to 90W power delivery, supporting compatibility with current-generation graphics cards and peripheral devices.

To deliver fluid gameplay, the UltraGear 45GX comes with NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support, effectively minimizing screen tearing and lag. With this launch, LG continues to solidify its presence in the competitive gaming hardware space, offering a premium solution for users who prioritize both visual performance and ergonomic features.
