LEGO Game Boy coming soon: build your own retro gaming icon

In a surprise announcement, LEGO and Nintendo have revealed they will be releasing a LEGO version of the iconic Game Boy handheld console. This collaboration brings together two beloved brands, delighting fans of both LEGO and Nintendo alike.

The LEGO Game Boy set is expected to launch in October 2025, just in time for the holiday season. While no specific details have been revealed yet, a short teaser video shared on social media showcases the set’s key features. The LEGO version will feature a directional pad, A and B buttons, and a dot-matrix screen, all faithfully recreated in LEGO form.

This isn’t the first time LEGO has partnered with Nintendo. In 2020, they released a highly successful LEGO set of the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), complete with a playable version of Super Mario Bros.
