The James Dyson Award, a prestigious international competition for student engineers and designers, is now accepting entries. The award seeks inventions that solve real-world challenges, inviting young minds to create solutions for everything from healthcare to environmental issues.

Inventors with Global Impact

Winning designs get global recognition, potential commercialization support, and hefty cash prizes. Past winners include a life-saving off-road ambulance trailer, energy-efficient paint that reduces air conditioning needs, and a smart shopping cart designed for users with disabilities.

Success Stories

The Award has a track record of launching impactful inventions. To date, it’s supported over 400 inventors with more than £1million in prize money. Nearly two-thirds of past winners have gone on to commercialize their ideas.

International and Sustainability winners take home £30,000 to fuel their innovation journey. Each National Winner receives £5,000, helping student designers turn their concepts into reality.
