The Google Pixel Watch 3, expected to launch on August 13th, has recently surfaced on the FCC website, revealing a couple of exciting new features: Ultra-Wideband (UWB) and 5GHz Wi-Fi connectivity.
UWB, rumored for the Pixel Watch 3 since March, is expected to simplify unlocking your phone when paired with a Pixel smartphone. It could also enable high-accuracy tracking if you misplace your watch or phone, similar to Apple’s Precision Finding feature.
The inclusion of 5GHz Wi-Fi promises faster data transfer speeds, a notable improvement over the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi found in previous Pixel Watch models.
But that’s not all! The FCC listing confirms the existence of four Pixel Watch 3 models, suggesting that Google will finally offer its smartwatch in two sizes: the standard Pixel Watch 3 and a larger Pixel Watch 3 XL. While the overall design appears similar to earlier models, the addition of a second size is a major step forward.
As we eagerly await the Made by Google event on August 13th, expect more rumors and leaks to surface, giving us a clearer picture of the Pixel Watch 3’s full capabilities.pen_sparktuneshare
