Fujifilm instax mini Link 3: a smartphone printer with a creative twist

Fujifilm has launched the instax mini Link 3, the latest addition to its popular line of smartphone printers. This pocket-sized device allows users to instantly print photos from their smartphones onto credit-card-sized instax film. Building upon the success of its predecessors, the mini Link 3 introduces new features designed to enhance creativity and social interaction.

New Features for Enhanced Creativity

The instax mini Link 3 boasts two innovative features: instax AiR Studio and Click to Collage.

  • instax AiR Studio lets users add augmented reality (AR) effects to their photos. Users can decorate their images with virtual objects and backgrounds, adding a new dimension of creativity to their prints. This feature also includes a “Remote Live View” function, allowing others to view the AR effects in real-time on their smartphones.
  • Click to Collage enables users to create collage prints with a series of photos, similar to a photo booth experience. The app provides a countdown timer, allowing users to capture a sequence of poses and expressions. The resulting collage can be printed as a single image or transformed into a “flipbook” animation using the instax Animation feature.

The mini Link 3 retains the core functionality of its predecessors, allowing users to easily print photos from their smartphones via a dedicated app. The app offers basic editing tools, such as resizing, rotating, applying filters, and adjusting brightness. Users can also print still frames from videos.

Coinciding with the launch of the mini Link 3, Fujifilm is releasing a new instax mini film called “SPRINKLES.” This film features a colorful sprinkle pattern, adding a playful touch to printed photos.

Furthermore, Fujifilm has updated its instax UP! app, which allows users to scan and digitize their instax prints. The updated app includes a new “instax Days” feature, enabling users to create calendars using their instax photos.

The instax mini Link 3 sports a refreshed design with the instax logo prominently displayed. It is available in three colors: Clay White, Rose Pink, and Sage Green. The printer is priced at USD 119 and is available in various MENA markets through online retailers and electronics stores.

With its blend of classic instax functionality and new creative features, the instax mini Link 3 offers a fun and engaging way to bring digital photos to life. Whether capturing memories with friends or adding a personal touch to photos, the mini Link 3 provides a unique and instant photography experience.
