Firefox on Mac now integrates with iCloud passwords

Firefox users on macOS can now access and manage their iCloud passwords directly within the browser. A new iCloud Passwords extension for Firefox allows for seamless integration with Apple’s iCloud Keychain, enabling users to autofill login credentials and generate strong passwords.

The extension also supports password creation, with new passwords automatically saved to iCloud Keychain and synced across Apple devices through the Passwords app. This feature requires macOS Sonoma or later.

This development enhances the cross-platform compatibility of iCloud Keychain, which was previously limited to Safari and other Apple apps. With the new Firefox extension, users can enjoy the convenience of iCloud password management while using their preferred browser.

In addition to the iCloud Passwords extension for Firefox on Mac, Mozilla has also released an iCloud Bookmarks extension for Firefox on Windows. This extension allows Windows users to sync their bookmarks with iCloud, further enhancing cross-platform compatibility and user experience.
