Beyerdynamic, known for its high-quality audio equipment, has joined the growing trend of open-ear earbuds with the VERIO 200. This marks the company’s first foray into this type of headphone design, which allows users to hear their surroundings while still enjoying their audio.
The VERIO 200 earbuds retail for $220 and feature custom 16.22mm graphene drivers to address the common issue of compromised audio quality in open-ear headphones. The use of graphene, a lightweight and strong material, aims to reduce sound distortion and enhance overall sound performance.
Open-ear earbuds offer a more comfortable alternative to traditional in-ear buds and provide better awareness of one’s surroundings, making them suitable for outdoor activities. The VERIO 200 also features a hook design for a secure fit during physical activity.
Battery life is a crucial aspect of true wireless earbuds, and Beyerdynamic claims the VERIO 200 offers up to eight hours of playback, with an additional 27 hours provided by the charging case. The earbuds are Bluetooth 5.3 compatible and work with both iOS and Android devices. Users can control the earbuds through voice commands or the new Beyerdynamic mobile app, which allows for custom EQ settings and sound tuning.
The launch of the VERIO 200 follows Beyerdynamic’s recent expansion into new product categories.
