Harry Potter Film Concert Series returns to Abu Dhabi this September

The Harry Potter Film Concert Series is set to return to Abu Dhabi this September, bringing with it two back-to-back performances of the first two films in the franchise, each accompanied by a live orchestral score. For the first time, the concerts will be staged at Etihad Arena on Yas Island, offering fans a large-scale, cinematic musical experience in the UAE capital.

Audiences will be able to watch Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone on September 6 and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets on September 7, with both films presented in high-definition on a 40-foot screen. Each screening will be enhanced by a live performance of John Williams’ original score by the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, conducted in sync with the on-screen action.

This immersive concert series blends film and live music, offering an alternative way to revisit the Harry Potter universe. Rather than simply watching the movies, attendees can experience the full emotional weight of the story through the live orchestral performance, which adds new dimension to the viewing experience.

The Harry Potter Film Concert Series, launched in 2016, is the only official global tour of its kind, created by Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment in collaboration with CineConcerts. Since its debut, the series has played to over 3 million fans in nearly 50 countries, underscoring its broad appeal across generations of viewers and music lovers alike.

Organized by Proactiv Entertainment in partnership with Miral, this year’s edition in Abu Dhabi is part of a broader strategy to bring more culturally significant and internationally recognized events to the region. It also marks the series’ first appearance at the Etihad Arena, a venue increasingly associated with high-profile performances and live entertainment.

Tickets are now on sale through etihadarena.ae and platinumlist.net, with prices ranging from AED 120 to AED 595. A range of seating tiers is available, including options for People of Determination.

As Abu Dhabi continues to position itself as a cultural and entertainment hub, events like this further reflect the city’s growing emphasis on experiential, family-friendly programming. Whether you’re a longtime fan or introducing the story to a new generation, the Harry Potter Film Concert Series promises a memorable night of film and music at one of the region’s premier venues.
