PUBG Mobile has rolled out its Version 3.8 update, introducing a wide range of features, thematic content, and gameplay enhancements aimed at refreshing the experience for players around the globe. Available now through July 6th, the update brings together anime action and steampunk aesthetics in one of the game’s most content-rich seasonal offerings to date.

The centerpiece of this update is a high-profile collaboration with Attack on Titan, bringing elements from the popular anime into the battlegrounds. Players can now transform into Titans using special in-game serums, including the rare and powerful Attack Titan Serum—available to only one player per match. Titan Serums grant transformative powerups, while ODM gear introduces high-speed mobility and aerial combat, staying true to the anime’s signature style.

Utgard Castle, inspired by a memorable Attack on Titan setting, becomes a hotspot within the Erangel map, where players can witness dramatic environmental changes as Titans demolish towers mid-match. Adding to the spectacle, a full-scale Colossal Titan encounter appears in northeast Erangel, recreating one of the anime’s most iconic moments. A slate of Attack on Titan-themed rewards, including outfits and weapons, is expected to drop starting May 30.

Beyond the anime crossover, the Steampunk Frontier mode arrives on Erangel, Livik, and Rondo maps, introducing new environments like the Aetherholm train station, cargo hubs, and the towering Utgard Castle. Giant steam trains—both cargo and express types—run across the map, transporting players between zones and unlocking new interactive experiences, from loot challenges to Clockwork Merchant trades and in-match rollercoaster rides.

The update also brings a range of enhancements to World of Wonder mode. Additions include new weapons such as the Welding Gun and M3E1-A Missile Launcher, the introduction of Velociraptor enemies, and the animal-themed T. Rex vehicle. There’s also a deeper customization layer through the Skill Management Device, allowing players to use abilities like Incendiary Bombs, Scout Surveys, and Defense Tower Summons during matches.

In Classic Mode, Version 3.8 adds a Portable Med Pack for faster team support, introduces spare tires to reduce mobility penalties, and allows players to shoot one-handed weapons while driving motorcycles or bikes. The Pillar UAZ, a durable off-road vehicle, also debuts in the Rondo map.

Metro Royale mode gets its own set of upgrades, including new zones in Arctic Base and Misty Port, the addition of a portable military server for high-value loot access, and stricter gear balancing for more competitive encounters. In Team Deathmatch – Warehouse, loadout visibility has been improved, making team strategy more transparent mid-match.

Home Mode also receives a visual overhaul with the new Bronzework Bastion theme, obtainable via Home Lucky Spin and in-game shop purchases. Players can earn Style Points and unlock exclusive rewards through the Prosperity progression system during the New Style Debut Event.

System-wide improvements in Version 3.8 include a refined Synergy Party system to promote cooperative play, better animal vehicle handling, and a two-stage vehicle explosion mechanic for added realism and strategic depth. The new Team Popularity Battle encourages group engagement, while the Memory Vault now offers adventure scrolls and streamlined in-match mission tracking.

Seasonal content also gets a refresh with the launch of Cycle 8 Season 24, which includes new legendary items and tier rewards. Ultimate Royale mode returns, with Hardcore mode accessible to players who have previously reached Crown Tier or higher. The Themed Mode Rating Protection event runs until May 25, providing a buffer for competitive players.

PUBG Mobile’s Version 3.8 update is available now on the App Store and Google Play. With its combination of anime crossover, steampunk expansion, and meaningful gameplay enhancements, this update continues the game’s trend of blending fresh content with evolving mechanics to keep the mobile battle royale experience engaging for new and returning players alike.
