The much-awaited miniseries “Dexter: New Blood,” is finally here! Eight years after the finale of ‘Dexter’, the new series picks up where the original show left off and premieres exclusively on STARZPLAY, MENA region’s leading streaming service, on Monday, November 8.
Michael C. Hall reprises his title role from ‘Dexter’, playing a Miami Police Department forensic analyst leading a double life as a serial killer who follows a strict code by only targeting other criminals.
Set a decade after Dexter Morgan went missing in the eye of Hurricane Laura, he is now living as a shopkeeper under an alias in a fictional town in Upstate New York, far from his original home in Miami. He is trying to live a quiet, normal life by abstaining from his killer past, even as he is haunted with visions of his sister Debra Morgan, who (spoiler alert!) died in season 8 of ‘Dexter’.
Alongside Michael C. Hall, the cast of the revival miniseries includes Clancy Brown, David Magidoff, Julia Jones, Alano Miller, Johnny Sequoyah, Jack Alcott, and Jennifer Carpenter, who will be returning as Dexter’s sister Debra Morgan. Recurring cast members appearing in the series include Jamie Chung, Oscar Wahlberg, Michael Cyril Creighton, and Katy Sullivan.
The new series has been developed by Clyde Phillips, who was showrunner on ‘Dexter’ for the first four seasons.
