Forget air fresheners, your new Lincoln can smell like a fancy spa

Step aside, flimsy cardboard air fresheners and overpowering essential oil diffusers! Lincoln, the brand synonymous with luxurious interiors, is taking in-car scents to a whole new level with its Digital Scent collection for the all-new 2024 Lincoln Nautilus. Picture this: you climb into your car after a long day, feeling stressed and depleted. But instead of being greeted by the usual stale air or a lingering gym bag aroma, you’re enveloped in a wave of your favorite fragrance.

The Scent Lineup: What Will Your Car Smell Like?

Think of it like fancy candles, but for your commute. The Nautilus comes with three starter scents:

  • Mystic Forest: Earthy and woodsy, like a stroll through a mystical redwood grove.
  • Ozonic Azure: Crisp and refreshing, with a hint of ocean spray and maybe a touch of spice.
  • Violet Cashmere: Floral and bright – imagine a field of violets with a squeeze of citrus.

But wait, there’s more! Four new scents have been added to the collection:

  • Cloud Balsam: Think of a deep, invigorating forest with a hint of warm vanilla.
  • Serene Seashore: Like a beach vacation in a bottle – melon, flowers, and maybe a whiff of sunscreen.
  • Twilight Embers: Cozy and mysterious, a perfect blend of woodsy campfire and a hint of leather.
  • Sunlight Retreat: Sweet and sunny, like a fancy spa that somehow smells like roses and fruit.
Lincoln expands its scent collection to seven digital in-cabin scents for a fresh and personalized interior experience, first introduced and available in the all-new 2024 Lincoln Nautilus SUV.

This Isn’t Your Grandma’s Car Perfume

Lincoln didn’t just throw any old scent in a bottle. They worked with actual perfumers (fancy!) to create unique blends designed to boost your mood. And if you’re worried about weird chemical smells, don’t be – the fragrances they chose are all certified by some super-official fragrance association.

Taking Control of Your Smellscape

The digital part comes in with a touchscreen in your car that lets you pick your scent and adjust how strong it is. You can even create different profiles, so if your partner hates your Twilight Embers obsession, you won’t have to fight about it. It’s like having a personal DJ for your nose!

Why Scents Matter (Apparently)

Sure, it sounds a little extra, but hear Lincoln out. They’ve done their research and discovered the power of smell when it comes to our moods and memories. Think about how the smell of baking cookies takes you back to childhood – they’re hoping to achieve that, but in your car.

The Lincoln Digital Scent feature is a fun, luxurious touch that sets their cars apart. Will it make your commute magically stress-free? Probably not. But will it make your car smell amazing? Most definitely. And let’s be honest, a car ride that smells like a seaside escape sounds way better than the usual mix of coffee spills and gym bag.
