Polestar has significantly enhanced its popular electric vehicle, the Polestar 2, for the 2024 model year. With improvements in range, efficiency, and performance, all while reducing its carbon footprint, the new Polestar 2 is now available for purchase in the United Arab Emirates through the Al-Futtaim Electric Mobility Company.
Key Enhancements:
- Extended Range: The Polestar 2 can now travel up to 22% farther on a single charge, with the Standard range Single motor model offering up to 546 km and the Long range Single motor model offering up to 655 km WLTP.
- Improved Efficiency: Energy consumption has been reduced by up to 9%, thanks to larger batteries, new motors,and a switch to rear-wheel drive for single-motor versions.
- Faster Charging: Charging speeds have been increased by up to 34%, allowing for quicker top-ups on the go.
- Reduced Carbon Footprint: Polestar has consistently lowered the Polestar 2’s carbon footprint since its launch in 2020, with a total reduction of 12% (3 tonnes of CO2e) in just three years. This has been achieved through various measures, including the use of low-carbon aluminum and renewable energy in production, as well as improved battery chemistry.
