I’m sure most of you watched Back to the Future II from 1989 right? If not, below is a small part of the movie showing a hoverboard chase set in 2015….which was the future back in 1989 anyway.

Now enter Hendo, the startup inspired by the hoverboard in the movie.

The Hendo Hoverboard is built by Greg and Jill Henderson, husband and wife who claim to have brought ‘the first REAL hoverboard’ to life and have a video to prove it!

But wait, there’s a catch. The board only works on a metal surfaces.

The startup is looking to raise $250,000 on Kickstarter to starts production. The board will cost $10,000. In addition to that, Hendo is also offering donors to the startup a chance to have their names written on pieces of the surfaces in an all metal skate parks that will be designed for this product.

So don’t expect to be flying on Jumeirah beach road anytime soon…

Check out all the details on their Kickstarter page here.
