With all the health-related acquisitions and partnerships and rumours that have been going around Apple, it is unsurprising that there is some sort health-related feature in the works. But beyond basic things like running and fitness, no one had an idea of where Apple will be taking this.
Apparently, it’s everything. It even tracks your sleep patterns.
As reported in detail by 9TO5Mac, Apple is pretty thorough in including everything you would ever want in a centralised app — a move that will not only up the ante but would also further lock in users into Apple’s ecosystem. Smart move.
As you can see from the image, there’s an emergency card for your details. The app tracks your activities, blood sugar levels, heart rate, blood pressure, and many more. With all of these metrics being monitored, I hope the battery manages to keep up.
I wonder how Samsung feels about its heart rate monitor now.
