Turing Announces Another Bonkers Phone; The Monolith Chaconne

Turing Monolith Chaconne

While the name may seem strange, it’s nothing compared to the specs the Monolith Chaconne is supposed to feature. In fact, they make the Monolith Chaconne out to be a portable Cray-2 computer rather than a humble smartphone residing in your pocket. However, it should be noted that these are but speculative specifications; Turing still has to figure out how to cram all of this into a device that can fit in your pocket.

But enough teasing here’s what Turing Robotic Industries proposes can fit in the Monolith Chaconne. First of all, the brain running the Chaconne will be a Snapdragon 830. Backing it up will be two more Snapdragon 830s. Yes, if this phone comes to market, it will be first featuring three processors running it. All this processing power will further be complemented by 18 GB of RAM, for you know, running multiple virtual operating systems on your smartphone. And of course, when you get down to deciding to play some Witcher 3 on your smartphone, don’t worry, you can download all the expansions and DLC thanks to the 1.2 TB of proposed storage the Monolith Chaconne will have.

And you’ll be able to turn up the graphics and be awed, thanks to the 6.4-inch 4K display. Don’t worry about running out of charge; the Chaconne will boast a whopping 120 Wh thanks to the hydrogen fuel cell-equipped battery. And when it comes to the camera, the Chaconne looks to put DSLR companies out of business. Let’s start with the front facing cameras. Yes,there will be two. And they will shoot 20-megapixel pictures. The four rear facing cameras boast 60 megapixels and can shoot in IMAX 6K.

Turing Monolith Chaconne Specs

But perhaps the most impressive feature is the quad-sim capabilities of the smartphone. You know, in case you’re a fugitive living underground and have to keep your criminal empire running. Or you’re a super spy who thinks chucking smartphones into a bin after a single call is a waste. Why chuck a smartphone when you can just switch carriers?

But that’s not all.

Perhaps in a step backwards to make the smartphone seem credible, it will also feature a slide-out keyboard, because it’s 2009 and Blackberry is all the rage. For that matter, the Blackberry DTEK looks impressive compared to this piece of fantasy. And who needs Microsoft Hololens; the Chaconne will feature augmented reality with parallel tracking and mapping as well as an acronym called A.L.A.N that will be demoed out later as soon as Turing figures what the letters stand for. The Monolith Chaconne will also feature “Swordfish OS”, a deep-learning AI.

So when will this smartphone descend from heaven?

2018 according to Turing. That is of course if they actually figure out how to make it.
