Not to be outdone by Canon, Nikon launched its latest entry-level DSLR – the D3300 – with a whopping 24.2MP Nikon DX CMOS sensor, no optical low-pass filter (which translates to sharper images), and EXPEED 4 image processing engine (borrowed from the D5300 for improved image quality and sensitivity – expanding to ISO 25,600).
The camera borrows the 11-point AF system from its predecessors, can record full HD movies at 60fps, and has WiFi capabilities (using an adapter).
The biggest change though is the introduction of the newer and updated kit lens. The AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VRⅡ features a retractable lens mechanism and reduces the size by 30% over the previous model.
The Nikon D3300 is available at all major retailers in the UAE at the suggested retail price (SRP) of AED 2,699 with the AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VRⅡ lens and the WU-1a WI-FI Dongle.
