OPPO Find X10 series arrives in the UAE with 200MP cameras

OPPO is bringing the Find X10 and Find X10 Pro Max to the UAE, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait. Both phones are built around the idea that a phone photo should look like the scene in front of you. That pitch comes after years of phones that brighten every shadow and sharpen every edge until the shot looks fake.

The Pro Max carries the headline hardware. All three rear cameras use 200MP sensors, which OPPO says is a first for the industry. The main camera uses a 1/1.28-inch sensor that OPPO developed with Samsung. Next to it is a 124-degree ultra-wide with autofocus, and a telephoto with an f/2.1 aperture that can also focus from 10cm for close-ups. The standard Find X10 has two 200MP cameras. Both phones save 26MP photos by default, from ultra-wide up to 9.9x zoom. That gives more detail than the usual 12MP without bloating file sizes, and full 50MP or 200MP shots are one setting away.

The bigger change may be in the software. OPPO says its new image processing, called LUMO, holds back on sharpening, noise reduction and AI-generated detail. It keeps more contrast between light and shadow instead of lifting everything evenly. If that works in practice, it answers one of the most common complaints about modern phone cameras. Whether it actually looks better will only be clear once people shoot with it in tricky light.

Video creators get a lot to work with. That includes 8K at 30fps, 4K at 120fps, Dolby Vision and OPPO’s O-Log2 format for colour grading. There’s also Open Gate, which records the full sensor area so footage can be reframed later for vertical or widescreen formats. A version of the Blackmagic Camera app built with OPPO arrives in November, and OPPO also worked with Meta to keep video quality high when uploading to Instagram.

Elsewhere, both phones get LTPO screens with up to 144Hz refresh and 3,600 nits peak brightness. They also support the BT.2020 colour range, which is wider than the DCI-P3 standard most phones use. The base model runs on MediaTek’s 3nm Dimensity 9600M and the Pro Max on the 2nm Dimensity 9600 Pro. Both have batteries of up to 8,000mAh, with 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. The small print says some markets get a 7,150mAh battery instead, and OPPO hasn’t said which version the Gulf gets. ColorOS 17 adds an AI assistant that can carry out multi-step tasks, built with Manus. The AI call scam detection is limited to Indonesia, India and Thailand for now.

In the UAE, the Find X10 costs AED 5,199 and the Pro Max AED 6,399, both with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Pre-orders run from October 30 to November 5 and include gifts and warranty extras that OPPO values at AED 2,099. The teleconverter costs AED 999 in the UAE, but it’s free during the first sale period in the other four markets, where sales start on November 27. That makes the UAE launch the earliest of the five but not the best value.
