Logitech’s new Pro gaming gear goes all-in on competitive players

Logitech is giving its Pro gaming hardware lineup a substantial refresh, introducing four new accessories aimed squarely at competitive players. The latest additions cover practically everything sitting on or around the desk, with a new mouse, mousepad, keyboard and wireless headset joining the range.

Leading the update is the Logitech G Pro X3 Superstrike, a $200 gaming mouse arriving October 6. Rather than simply refining the switches found in the previous Pro X2 generation, Logitech is introducing its HITS haptic trigger technology, replacing conventional mechanical microswitches. The company is pitching the change around greater precision and control, alongside improved battery life and a lightweight, balanced design.

It is an interesting direction for competitive mice, where seemingly tiny differences in click response, weight and consistency can become selling points. Whether the haptic system provides a meaningful advantage over established optical and mechanical switch designs will depend heavily on how it feels in actual play.

The $60 Pro X Control Mousepad follows on October 8. Logitech has opted for a knitted cloth surface intended to balance smooth movement with stopping control, backed by a high-friction underside to prevent the pad moving during aggressive mouse movements.

Keyboard players get the Pro X2 Rapid Gaming Keyboard, which is available now for $230. It uses configurable magnetic switches, allowing players to adjust individual key sensitivity rather than relying on a fixed actuation point.

Rapid Trigger functionality resets a key as soon as upward movement is detected, a feature that has become increasingly common on performance-focused magnetic gaming keyboards. Logitech also supports its Key Priority system, designed to handle overlapping directional inputs more effectively. That could prove particularly useful in FPS games where rapid strafing and direction changes matter.

Rounding out the launches is the $250 Pro X3 Lightspeed Gaming Headset, arriving October 8. Logitech claims up to 70 hours of battery life, representing a 40 percent increase over its predecessor. It also features a 48kHz microphone and a 10-band equalizer controlled through Logitech’s G Hub software.

None of these products comes cheaply. Collectively, however, they show where premium competitive gaming peripherals are heading: magnetic keyboard switches, increasingly sophisticated mouse inputs, longer-lasting wireless hardware and far more software customization. Logitech’s challenge will be demonstrating that those refinements translate into benefits players can actually notice rather than another round of expensive specification upgrades.
