Samsung is bringing its latest movable display concept to the UAE with The Movingstyle, a 27-inch touchscreen designed for people who want a screen that is considerably less committed to one room than a conventional television.
Priced at AED 4,399, The Movingstyle combines a 27-inch QHD touchscreen with a wheeled floor stand, detachable display and rechargeable battery. Samsung says the battery provides up to three hours of wireless use, allowing the screen to operate away from a wall socket for shorter viewing, exercise or work sessions.
The concept sits somewhere between a smart TV, oversized tablet and portable monitor. Rather than permanently occupying a wall or cabinet, the display can be rolled between rooms before being detached from its stand when needed. An integrated handle doubles as a kickstand for tabletop use.
That flexibility is arguably the main attraction. The screen supports landscape and portrait orientations, while its stand can tilt, swivel, pivot and change height. Touch controls handle direct navigation, but Samsung also includes a conventional remote and Bixby voice controls for situations where poking a 27-inch display is less convenient.
Connectivity includes USB-C and HDMI alongside mobile-device mirroring. Multi-View can display two sources simultaneously, potentially making the screen more useful for multitasking than a typical portable television.
Samsung has also loaded The Movingstyle with its wider smart TV ecosystem. One UI Tizen provides access to apps and streaming services, while Samsung Vision AI Companion handles features including contextual search and content discovery. Now Brief can surface information including weather, news, music and personal memos through customizable widgets.
The display also supports Samsung Art Store, which the company says offers access to more than 5,000 artworks, alongside Generative Wallpaper for creating AI-generated backgrounds.
Portable smart displays have become an increasingly interesting alternative to fixed TVs, particularly as manufacturers experiment with screens intended to follow users around the home. The Movingstyle’s appeal will therefore depend less on raw display specifications and more on whether that mobility proves genuinely useful.
At AED 4,399, buyers are paying a substantial premium for that flexibility. But for apartments, multipurpose rooms or households that would rather move one screen than install several, Samsung’s unusual hybrid could make more sense than its unconventional form initially suggests.
