PUBG Mobile is leaning heavily into supernatural chaos for Version 4.6, introducing a vampire-focused Midnight Hunters mode alongside returning content, gameplay changes and another packed schedule of brand collaborations.
Available during the Version 4.6 period running from September 8 to November 10, 2026, Midnight Hunters pits vampires and hunters against each other while adding PvE encounters to the usual player-versus-player action. Vampire Hunter Guild locations appear around the map, with enemies including Bloodwalkers, Nightbats, Vampire Elders and tougher elite variants standing between players and additional supplies and rewards.
The update’s more interesting ideas are found in its new equipment. Twilight Bat Wings can transform a player into an energy bat with hovering, dashing, latching and sonar abilities. The Silvermoon Chain doubles as a weapon and traversal tool while also providing defensive utility, while Blood Crystal Barriers can seal windows against attacks. Healing and support options expand through Blood Pact, Hunter Bandages and Scarlet Tonic.
Midnight Hunters also introduces several objectives beyond simply surviving. Players can hunt a Golden Bat disguised as a statue, tackle alarm-equipped Scream Crates and complete Guild Missions involving everything from defending the Nightkeeper’s seals to eliminating evolving enemies.
The biggest twist is Bloodline Awakening. Eliminated players can return as vampires, swapping conventional equipment for abilities including melee claws, health absorption and Blood Sense for locating nearby hunters. Blood Amberfication temporarily provides a faster state with damage immunity. The feature is scheduled to operate from Friday through Sunday during September, rather than remaining permanently active.
Version 4.6 is considerably larger than its headline vampire mode. Ocean Odyssey returns exclusively to Erangel on September 30, while a mysterious giant serpent appearing around the map appears to be teasing additional content. Classic Mode receives new in-match missions, Supply Shop changes, an Inflatable Boat and firing-stability adjustments for several 7.62mm weapons including the AKM, M762, Groza and ACE32.
Arena players get a new Ranked Arena season from October 1 to October 29, while Metro Royale Chapter 34 adds vampire bases and its own Golden Bat encounters. World of Wonder is embracing Halloween with new Brainrot collectibles, a Ghost Ship event and additional creation tools. Home Mode similarly gets the Feast of Shadows event from September 13.
Then there are the crossovers. Lincoln arrives on September 10, One-Punch Man follows on September 20 and B.Duck joins on October 2. Alan Walker also returns with “FATE,” the update’s theme song, available in-game until November 10.
There is an almost excessive amount competing for attention in Version 4.6, but Midnight Hunters looks like the update’s most meaningful addition. Bringing defeated players back as vampires could create genuinely unpredictable late-match encounters — provided the supernatural abilities complement PUBG Mobile’s battle royale fundamentals rather than overwhelming them.
