PlayStation adds ten free Lost Lands hidden object games for PS5

PlayStation has added a substantial collection of hidden object puzzle games to its free offerings on the PlayStation Store, making nearly the entire Lost Lands series available without a PlayStation Plus subscription. Developed by Five-BN, these titles center on Susan, a modern woman drawn into a fantasy realm filled with ancient mysteries, curses, and supernatural threats. The games blend point-and-click exploration with inventory puzzles and hidden object scenes, a formula that has sustained the series since its 2014 PC debut.

The ten free entries now accessible on PlayStation 5 include Dark Overlord, The Four Horsemen, The Golden Curse, The Wanderer, Ice Spell, Mistakes of the Past, Redemption, Sand Captivity, Stories of the First Brotherhood, and Lost Lands X. This marks a significant expansion from the first three games that became free in late 2025, with subsequent ports arriving steadily. The series typically launches first on PC and mobile before reaching consoles, a pattern that has brought the adventures to Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and now PlayStation in fuller measure. One remaining title, Stories about the Sorceress, the Prince and the Minotaur, is set to arrive on June 26 and will also be free on PS5, though it is already playable on other platforms for a price.

Each game follows Susan as she confronts escalating dangers: battling legendary horsemen, unraveling curses, traversing frozen landscapes, or navigating desert ruins. The consistent gameplay loop involves combining items, deciphering clues, and interacting with detailed environments, all while gradually building the world’s mythology. This structure offers accessibility for newcomers who can jump into any entry, yet it rewards sequential play through recurring characters and evolving lore. The approach has proven durable across more than a decade, providing relaxing yet engaging sessions ideal for shorter play periods or extended weekends.

That said, the series’ reliance on a familiar template can feel repetitive after several entries. While each installment introduces distinct settings and twists, the core mechanics rarely deviate, which may limit appeal for players seeking deeper innovation or varied challenge levels. The puzzle difficulty strikes a moderate balance—demanding enough to hold interest without excessive frustration—but some segments lean heavily on hidden object hunts that prioritize visual searching over creative problem-solving. In an era when many puzzle adventures experiment with narrative branching or more integrated storytelling, Lost Lands remains comfortably traditional, prioritizing atmosphere and steady progression over bold risks.

For PlayStation owners interested in casual puzzle-adventure experiences, this batch represents a low-commitment way to sample a long-running series. Downloads are straightforward through the PlayStation Store search, requiring no additional service tiers. The availability highlights how console platforms continue to expand free libraries beyond blockbuster rotations, giving older or niche titles renewed visibility. Whether these games serve as light palate cleansers between bigger releases or a deeper dive into hidden object traditions depends on personal taste, but their collective scope offers solid value for fans of the genre.
