Samsung announces fix for keyboard vulnerability

Samsung has responded to the security bug that affects the keyboards on its Galaxy smartphones.

Earlier this week, it was reported that  NowSecure revealed an exploit which gives hackers the ability to execute code on Samsung’s mobile devices.

Samsung has just announced that it’s issuing a fix over the next few days. Samsung said that most of its users have Knox enabled by default and will get a prompt to apply a new security policy automatically. The company has also said that it is working on issuing a firmware update to devices that don’t have Knox enabled by default.

To receive the security update, follow the instructions below:

Go to Settings > Lock Screen and Security > Other Security Settings > Security policy updates, and make sure that the Automatic Updates option is activated. On the same screen, you can also click Check for updates to manually retrieve any new security policy updates.
