Beats introduces iPhone 17 cases with lanyard kickstand and rugged protection

Beats has rolled out a set of iPhone 17 cases that focus on convenience and durability, introducing designs that go beyond the standard protective shell. The standout is the Beats iPhone 17 Kickstand Case, which includes a detachable lanyard that also functions as a kickstand. Lanyards and cross-body straps have become more common as a way to keep phones secure during travel or crowded commutes, but Beats’ approach adds a twist. The strap’s adaptor slides open and connects magnetically to the side of the case, letting it double as a stand for hands-free video calls, streaming, or desk use. The Kickstand Case supports MagSafe and Apple’s Camera Control feature, and comes in Granite Gray, Bedrock Blue, Lime Stone, and Pebble Pink for $59 through Apple’s store.

For those looking for a simpler option, Beats is also offering a thin and lightweight case priced at $45. It uses the same matte outer finish designed to resist fingerprints, with a microfiber interior to help prevent scratches. This model is available in the same color set as the Kickstand Case and is the only one in the collection made for the iPhone Air, broadening the lineup for users who prefer Apple’s lighter model.

At the higher end, Beats has introduced the iPhone 17 Rugged Case, built for users who want additional drop and impact protection. It combines a polymer backplate with reinforced sidewalls and a fully enclosed bottom edge for added durability. The exterior features a textured matte surface for better grip, while inside, Beats says the case has undergone repeated drop, scratch, thermal, and chemical testing to approximate long-term use. Like the Kickstand model, it includes MagSafe and Camera Control support. Color options for the Rugged Case include Everest Black, Rocky Blue, Alpine Gray, and Sierra Orange, with a price of $79.

While Beats is better known for its headphones, its iPhone 17 case collection positions the brand in a growing accessories market where utility-focused designs are increasingly in demand. The inclusion of a lanyard that doubles as a kickstand highlights how manufacturers are trying to combine everyday practicality with mobile-first lifestyles. With prices ranging from $45 to $79, Beats’ lineup covers casual, travel-ready, and rugged use cases, offering Apple’s latest phone owners a range of options that move beyond generic case designs.
