Huawei has introduced a new line-up of wearables and consumer tech products under the theme “Fashion Next,” highlighting a continued push to combine functionality with design. The launch event, held in Berlin, showcased devices aimed at expanding Huawei’s presence in the competitive wearables and tablet markets, particularly in the Middle East, where many of the new products will become available this month.

Leading the announcements is the HUAWEI WATCH 5, which incorporates a redesigned interaction model and upgraded health-tracking features. The device introduces the latest TruSense System, featuring the new Multi-sensing X-TAP Technology. This setup uses a distributed sensor module to enable fingertip-based health monitoring, promising faster and more precise readings. Gesture controls have also been improved, now supporting additional shortcuts like “Double Slide” and “Double Tap” for easier navigation. Available in exclusive Purple and Sand Gold finishes, the WATCH 5 will be available for pre-order in the UAE on May 22 and in stores by May 29, priced at 1,599 AED.

Also unveiled was the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 4 Series, continuing Huawei’s focus on lightweight, fitness-focused wearables. The WATCH FIT 4 Pro retains the square-face design and emphasizes active lifestyles with support for outdoor sports modes, including trail running and golf. It offers water resistance down to 40 meters and includes many of the same health monitoring features found in the flagship WATCH 5. It launches in the UAE on May 16 at 549 AED.

The HUAWEI FreeBuds 6, also arriving May 16 at the same price point, mark the company’s first open-fit earbuds to incorporate dual-magnetic drivers. They feature a refined droplet-shaped design and enhanced call clarity through noise cancellation technology, positioning them as a more audio-centric alternative in the wireless earbud space.

Huawei also previewed the MatePad Pro 12.2-inch (2025), which features a Tandem OLED PaperMatte Display designed to reduce glare and reflections. It supports accessories like the Huawei Glide Keyboard and includes a new version of the Huawei Notes app, aimed at boosting productivity. Creative tools such as a 3D Oil Painting Brush and frame-based animation support hint at ambitions to serve both professionals and casual creators. The tablet is expected to launch in the UAE in June, with pricing to be confirmed.

In support of its hardware, Huawei continues to promote its Huawei Care+ service package, which includes accidental damage coverage, extended warranty options, and device protection features.

Huawei is also expanding its fitness ecosystem through its Active Rings initiative—a continuation of the previous “Light Up Your Rings” campaign. With support for over 100 workout modes, the company is positioning its wearables as adaptable to a broad range of fitness routines and user preferences.

According to recent data from IDC, Huawei led global wearable shipment growth in 2024 and retained its dominant market share in China for the sixth consecutive year. As competition intensifies, these launches represent Huawei’s broader effort to differentiate its devices through both health-focused features and a fashion-forward approach.
