Apple shelves plans for Wolfs sequel, disappointing fans of Clooney-Pitt pairing

Just months after generating significant buzz, Apple has unexpectedly hit the brakes on the planned sequel to “Wolfs.” The original film, a crime caper directed by Jon Watts and starring Hollywood heavyweights George Clooney and Brad Pitt, was poised for a follow-up after Apple secured a deal with Watts earlier this year.

However, recent comments from Watts himself suggest that the project is no longer moving forward. In an interview promoting his new Disney+ series “Skeleton Crew,” Watts admitted that he’s unsure about his next directorial project and doesn’t anticipate a “Wolfs” sequel. Sources have since confirmed that Apple has indeed abandoned plans for the film.

The news will likely disappoint fans who were eager to see Clooney and Pitt reunite on screen. While the specific reasons behind Apple’s decision remain unclear, the cancellation highlights the ever-present uncertainties of the film industry, even when A-list talent and a successful director are involved.
