Black Clover Season 2 finally brings Asta back
For shonen fans, October 3 is the date that deserves a giant glowing circle on the calendar. Black Clover Season 2 is coming from Pierrot, putting Asta and the Magic Knights back into action as the conflict with the Spade Kingdom intensifies.
This isn’t shaping up as a gentle reunion tour. The Magic Knights are attempting to rescue their captured squad captains from the Dark Triad, with Asta facing increasingly dangerous opposition while trying to protect his allies and uphold his promise to Yuno. Overgeared could be Fall 2026’s big progression-fantasy obsession
Overgeared premieres September 27 and brings its particular flavour of virtual-world progression to anime courtesy of J.C.STAFF. The setup follows Grid, a deeply unlucky and debt-ridden player whose fortunes change after a difficult quest puts him on the path to becoming the heir of a legendary blacksmith.
There is an appealing twist to the usual power-fantasy formula here. Grid’s statistics are reset to zero, so his transformation isn’t simply about receiving an absurdly powerful ability and immediately switching the game to easy mode. Crafting and progression sit at the centre of the premise, potentially making Overgeared especially tempting for anyone whose RPG inventory contains enough carefully hoarded materials to open a small warehouse. Firefly Wedding brings romance with an assassin-shaped problem
Not everything this season involves levelling up, magical academies or saving kingdoms. Firefly Wedding, arriving October 9 from david production, takes a considerably darker route through romance.
Satoko Kirigaya is a noblewoman facing a shortened life and determined to secure a marriage that will make her father proud. After being kidnapped by assassin Shinpei Goto, however, she makes the rather extreme survival move of proposing marriage to her captor. He accepts, and his growing obsession turns the arrangement into something much more dangerous. Crunchyroll has announced English and Arabic dubs as well as Arabic subtitles.
The Vermilion Mask has one of the season’s darker fantasy setups
The Vermilion Mask follows on October 10, produced by 100studio. Its protagonist, Peru, is an apprentice mask maker whose life collapses after the Mask of the Warrior God possesses him, resulting in the deaths of his friends and his master, Gaston Roux.
Rather than accepting the traditional fantasy-hero starter pack of sword, destiny and conveniently absent parents, Peru begins his journey carrying some serious guilt. He sets out to destroy the masks created by his master before they can cause further tragedies, turning the story into a globe-spanning mission involving new allies, enemies and the consequences of his own actions. Arabic subtitles are confirmed.
PSYREN is the wildcard worth keeping an eye on
Then there is PSYREN. Satelight’s adaptation is included in Crunchyroll’s Fall 2026 slate, although its premiere date remains listed simply as “coming soon.”
The initial setup is deliberately lean: Ageha becomes caught up in rumours surrounding mysterious disappearances while searching for his friend, eventually finding himself drawn into a deadly game. Crunchyroll has confirmed English dubbing and Arabic subtitles. Until a firm date lands, PSYREN is essentially Fall 2026’s mystery loot box — except this is one anime announcement where waiting before clicking is probably sensible.
There is a lot more arriving throughout October
The season gets underway on September 26 with A Wild Last Boss Appeared! Season 2. One day later, As a Reincarnated Aristocrat, I’ll Use My Appraisal Skill to Rise in the World Season 3 and Overgeared join the schedule. The Prince of Tennis II U-17 WORLD CUP: Final Member Selection Match arrives September 30 before FX Fighter Kurumi-chan opens October’s schedule on October 1.
October 3 also brings A Tale of the Secret Saint, Romelia War Chronicle, VERTEX FORCE and #I’m Looking For a Zombie alongside Black Clover. The following day adds Reborn as a Space Mercenary: I Woke Up Piloting the Strongest Starship!, Aoashi Season 2, HOTEL INHUMANS Season 2, Uncle’s Obsession with Cute Things and Even Though I’m a Super Timid Noble Girl, I Accepted the Bet From My Cunning Fiancé. That’s already enough anime to make the concept of “catching up this weekend” sound like science fiction.
The middle of October keeps the schedule busy
October 5 brings Hello, I am a Witch and my Crush Wants me to Make a Love Potion! and So What’s Wrong with Getting Reborn as a Goblin?, followed by The Laid-Off Cheat-Granting Mage Enjoys a Second Lease on Life on October 6. October 7 is particularly busy, with Magic Knight Rayearth, Sasaki and Peeps Season 2, The World’s Strongest Witch, The Detective Is Already Dead Season 2 and A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special Season 2 all joining the lineup.
The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World II follows on October 8, before Firefly Wedding and The Vermilion Mask take October 9 and 10 respectively. Ace of the Diamond act II -Second Season- Cour 2 arrives October 11, while October 13 brings the second cour of Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle alongside DARK MACHINE THE ANIMATION. Dreamland rounds out the currently dated new arrivals on October 16.
Several Summer 2026 anime aren’t going anywhere either
The Fall 2026 arrivals aren’t replacing everything already occupying viewers’ queues. Crunchyroll says several Summer 2026 series will continue receiving episodes throughout the new season.
Red River continues on Tuesdays, The Exiled Heavy Knight Knows How to Game the System on Thursdays and Please Excuse My Younger Brothers on Fridays. Case Closed (Detective Conan) and Star Detective Precure! continue with new episodes on Saturdays.
Arabic anime support is becoming a major part of the lineup
For MENA viewers, one of the most encouraging aspects of the Fall 2026 announcement is how consistently Arabic appears across the schedule. Arabic subtitles are confirmed for a large portion of the announced catalogue rather than being reserved exclusively for one or two flagship shows.
